AirSupply with Safran Aircraft Engines

Efficient processing of your orders: Purchase Order (PO), PO Changes, PO Confirmation

Orders from your customer Safran SAE can either be based on scheduling agreements (AirSupply PO Type CALLUP) or it can be a spot buy (AirSupply PO type OTHER).

Material demands based on scheduling agreements are first displayed in the forecast module in AirSupply and automatically converted into a purchase order as soon as they reach agreed firm horizon for the material.

As a supplier, you need to confirm your customer's orders in AirSupply. You have the possibility to propose changes to the delivery date and quantity.

On-time notification of your delivery

With the Despatch Advice (ASN) you announce electronically the delivery of the requested goods to your customer.

When creating a Despatch Advice (ASN) in AirSupply, the form will be already partially prefilled with information taken from the selected Purchase Order lines to reduce the manual effort. Further transport-specific data must then be added by the supplier.

You have the possibility to combine several Purchase Order lines into one Despatch Advice (ASN).

A Despatch Advice (ASN) in AirSupply consists of a header, handling units named Expedition Unit (UX) and physical packages named Elementary Unit (UE). One Expedition Unit can contain several Elementary Units. Example: the Expedition Unit is the pallet and the Elementary Units are the packages on the pallet.

As a supplier you are required to print labels based on the entered data in the ASN, which you can use for the physical shipment. Separate labels are created for each defined handling unit (UX) and each contained physical package (UE).

After the creation of the Despatch Advice (ASN), the included Purchase Order lines receive the status "Shipped" or "Partially Shipped" in the AirSupply orders module.

In order to ease goods receipt and avoid issues at reception, Safran Aircraft Engines is controlling despatch advices in real time after former AirSupply® standard validation.

Goods Receipt - From goods acceptance to entry in the system

As soon as the goods sent by the supplier arrive at the warehouse, they are booked into the customer's ERP system. The information is then also submitted to AirSupply to make it visible to the suppliers as well.

• In the AirSupply orders module, the corresponding order lines for which the goods receipt was booked get the status "Received" or "Partially Received".
• In the AirSupply module Delivery > Stock Movement, i. e. a particular goods receipt bookings can be reviewed in detail.

A collaborative approach for assessing delivery reliability

On Time Delivery (OTD) is an important indicator to measure the efficiency of supply chain processes in an organization. It indicates how efficiently the organization is meeting the customer’s or agreed deadlines. 

OTD is a process in AirSupply which supports both customer and supplier in monitoring the supplier delivery performance, based on the purchase order data in AirSupply. 

An order deadline will be analyzed by the system as soon as it reaches the status RECEIVED: 

By comparing the last agreed requested with the actual date of arrival of the goods, the system checks whether the delivery can be considered as 'on time', 'early', 'late' – based on a customer specific tolerance window. 

AirSupply provides OTD Overall collaboration status at each stage of the process. An OTD line goes through various status changes during its lifecycle. Depending on the OTD step and status, various collaboration possibilities and proper actions are available on customer or supplier side.
